32 Mineral Sunscreens in the Philippines to Match Every Skin Type

Share

My combination skin gets oily by midday, so finding the right mineral sunscreen has always been tricky for me. The white cast, makeup pilling, and chalky finish that looks bad in photos used to make me stick to chemical sunscreens. But newer mineral formulas have come a long way, which made me curious to give them another look. This guide rounds up 32 mineral sunscreens available in the Philippines, organized to help you compare your options and find one that suits your skin’s needs.

I grouped the sunscreens by skin type and kept each brand’s versions together. That way, you won’t have to scroll past a bunch of baby sunscreens if you’re looking for a matte finish. You definitely don’t need all 32—just one for your face and maybe one for the beach.

Quick refresher if you are new here: a mineral sunscreen uses zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, or both as the active filters, sitting on the surface and deflecting light rather than absorbing it. The American Academy of Dermatology has a plain explainer on reading the label, including the sneaky hybrid formulas that tuck a chemical filter in beside the minerals. A few products below do exactly that, and I flag them where it matters.

For oily and combination skin

If your T zone gets oily by lunchtime, these mineral sunscreens are matte, blurring, or help absorb oil.

1. Camou Tinted Mattifying Mineral Sunscreen SPF50 PA++++ with Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide
This tinted, matte mineral sunscreen is from a Filipino brand that began with men’s grooming and has become a popular choice. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide provide sun protection, while niacinamide and ceramides help keep your skin barrier healthy. The sheer tint helps reduce the white cast. It’s great for oily and combination skin that wants a soft matte finish without needing a separate primer. The only downside is the limited tint range, so if your undertone is very different, the shade might look a bit off. It’s a good idea to test it before buying.

2. Ellana Clean Screen SPF 50 Oil Control Mineral Sunscreen with Centella Asiatica Green Tea Chamomile
Ellana made this sunscreen for normal to oily skin. Silica helps control shine, while centella, green tea, and chamomile soothe the skin. Ingredient databases say it’s safe for fungal acne, which is helpful if you break out from certain sunscreens. It now has a light tint, so the white cast is minimal. However, the ingredient list includes ethylhexyl salicylate, a chemical filter, so it’s more of a hybrid than a pure mineral sunscreen.

3. LUXE ORGANIX High Protection Cloud Matte Soft Blurring Mineral Serum Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ 40g
Luxe Organix uses a serum texture for this sunscreen, so it spreads easily and dries to a blurred, matte finish that works well under makeup. The blurring effect helps minimize the look of pores, making it a favorite for oily and combination skin on work days. The 40g size is meant for the face, not the body. If you prefer a dewy look, this one might feel too matte.

4. Ecran de Luxe Mineral Sunscreen Gel SPF 30 PA++ + + Matte Finish
A silicone gel that absorbs sebum and dries down matte, marketed as oil free and noncomedogenic. It is water and sweat resistant, so it holds up on humid commutes better than most gels this light. SPF 30 is the tradeoff, lower than the SPF 50 crowd, though the PA rating on the actual packaging runs to four plusses despite the listing shorthand. Reach for it on regular days rather than a full beach afternoon. If sticks are more your speed, I went deeper in my sunscreen stick roundup.

5. Supergoop! Mineral Mattescreen SPF 40 PA+++ Sunscreen and Make Up Primer
This imported option is a bit of a splurge and also works as a mattifying primer, helping makeup stay in place and reducing shine. It’s a 100 percent mineral sunscreen with a velvety finish that suits oily skin. The downside is the high price and small tube. It’s worth it if you wear makeup every day and want your sunscreen to double as a primer.

6. 68g Camou XL Mineral Sunscreen Stick Zinc Oxide SPF50 PA++++ Niacinmamide Ceramide Barrier Repair
Same Camou logic in a large stick you swipe on, which makes reapplication over makeup far less annoying. Pure zinc oxide handles the UV, with niacinamide, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and centella for barrier support, and it is fragrance free. The 68g size is generous enough for face and body on beach days, and sticks can drag on very oily skin midday, so a light press rather than a hard swipe helps. The same stick also comes in a 20g travel size, reef safe and matte, sized for a pouch or a jeepney commute and easy to keep at your desk for top ups.

For sensitive, calming, and barrier focused skin

If your skin is sensitive or easily irritated, look for sunscreens with short ingredient lists, soothing plant extracts, and a comfortable feel. Here are some gentle mineral sunscreen options.

7. Human Nature Mineral Sunscreen SPF60 PA++++ for Face Body Sensitive Skin UV Protection
This is a 100 percent natural formula from a local brand, using non-nano zinc oxide, sunflower oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax. Dermatologists often recommend zinc for sensitive skin and kids, and this sunscreen is also reef friendly with no oxybenzone. The rich, oil-based texture can feel heavy and look greasy, so it’s better for use on the body if you have oily skin. It does contain fragrance, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to scents.

8. BELO SunExpert Mineral Ultra Gentle Sunscreen SPF50 PA+++ 50ml
Belo’s drugstore mineral sunscreen is made for sensitive skin that needs something gentle and oil free. It’s easy to find, affordable, and costs less than imported brands. The finish is more matte than glowy. It’s a good everyday choice if you want mineral protection without searching specialty stores.

9. AVENE Mineral Fluid SPF50
Avene makes products for sensitive, easily irritated skin, and their Mineral Fluid is designed for faces that react to most things. It’s a simple mineral sunscreen with the brand’s thermal spring water and a short ingredient list. Like most pure mineral fluids, it does leave a white cast. If your skin is often reactive, this is a calming option.

10. Avene VHP Mineral Fluid SPF 50+ 40ml
VHP means very high protection, so this is the stronger version for sun-sensitive skin or for use after skin treatments. It’s still made for sensitive skin and has little fragrance. Clinics often recommend this after procedures. It costs more than the regular fluid, so it’s best if you really need the extra protection.

11. [SOME BY MI OFFICIAL] Truecica Mineral Calming Tone up Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++ 50ml
Some By Mi’s Truecica line is made for blemish-prone skin, and this mineral sunscreen is calming with a tone-up finish that brightens without a strong white cast. Centella and the Truecica complex help soothe breakouts. It’s a good choice if you want sun protection and a bit of glow. The tone-up effect can look a bit pale on deeper skin, so make sure to blend it well.

12. haruharu wonder Black Rice Pure Mineral Relief Daily Sunscreen
This Korean sunscreen uses fermented black rice and is gentle and hydrating for daily use. It’s marketed as a pure mineral relief sunscreen for sensitive or stressed skin. The finish looks more natural than matte, so if you have combination skin, you might want to set your T zone. It’s a simple, everyday option.

13. [GOODAL] Heartleaf (Houttuynia Cordata) Calming Sun Screen Line (Moisture/Mineral/Cooling Sun Stick/Tone-up)
This is a whole line of heartleaf sunscreens, not just one product, so you can choose the finish you want: moisture, mineral, cooling stick, or tone-up. Houttuynia cordata is the main calming ingredient, good for redness and sensitive skin. Make sure to check the variant at checkout to get the mineral one if that’s what you want. It’s useful if you like to match your sunscreen to your skin’s needs each day.

14. ANUA x KPOP DEMON HUNTERS: Mineral Weightless Finish Sunscreen
This is the collaboration with the Netflix show, but the special packaging doesn’t affect the SPF. Inside, it’s a zinc-based SPF50 PA++++ mineral sunscreen with ceramide, allantoin, and panthenol for sensitive skin. Some reviewers with oily skin say it feels a bit heavy and shiny, so it’s better for normal or dry skin. The formula is good, and the box is a fun bonus.

15. Dr.G Upgraded Mineral Efficient Sunscreen SPF50+PA+++
Dr.G is a Korean brand focused on dermatology, and this mineral sunscreen is for sensitive skin that wants a comfortable, non-chalky feel. It offers strong protection without the heavy texture some mineral sunscreens have. It’s a good balance between clinical and pleasant to use, and works well for daily face use.

16. Anessa Spf35 Pa+++Mineral Sunscreen Mild Gel ( 90g)
Anessa’s mild gel is the gentle, family-friendly option from a brand known for strong chemical sunscreens. The SPF 35 light gel is easy to apply generously on face and body, and the 90g tube lasts a while. It’s made for kids and sensitive skin, not for long days at the beach. Because of the lower SPF, you’ll need to reapply more often if you’re outside for hours.

17. OMI Menturm Verdio UV Barrier Milk Mineral Sunscreen SPF50 PA++++ 80g
This Japanese mineral sunscreen comes in a large 80g tube and is made to be a gentle barrier for both face and body. The milk texture spreads easily and feels light on the skin. It’s a good value if you use enough sunscreen, which many people don’t. It’s a reliable, everyday option rather than a flashy one.

18. [Torriden Official] Mini Size – DIVE IN Mild Sunblock – Mineral Mild Sunscreen for Natural Tone up, Perfect UV Protection, SPF 50+
Torriden’s DIVE IN line is known for hydrating with hyaluronic acid, and this mild mineral sunscreen gives a natural tone-up effect for sensitive, dry skin. The mini size lets you try it out without much risk. It feels comfortable and slightly dewy, not matte. It’s a good option for travel or to test before buying the full size.

19. For Keeps Clean Beauty Sunscreen 60ml Unscented – 5-Star UVA Rating, Mineral Sunscreen, Non-Stick
This local clean beauty sunscreen is unscented, which is great for people sensitive to smells. The five-star UVA rating means strong protection against aging rays, and the non-sticky finish is a big plus. Fragrance-free mineral sunscreens are rare, so this is a good choice if you want both. If you can’t stand scented products, this one is worth considering.

20. Hadatuko Rice Mineral UV Gentle Cream SPF50 PA++++ (60g)
This gentle mineral cream uses rice extract and is meant for everyday protection if you want something mild. The 60g size is generous for daily use. It’s a comfortable, simple SPF, not a high-performance sport sunscreen. It’s a good pick if you already like rice-based skincare.

For tone up and tinted finishes

These add brightness or coverage on top of the protection. For more of these, my tinted sunscreen guide has the full list.

21. [Klairs] Tone-up All day airy mineral sunscreen 35g
Klairs made this for anyone who wants a subtle brightening effect without a heavy or cakey feel. The airy texture really is light, and it helps smooth and even out your skin while protecting it. The finish is light and a bit luminous, but if you have very oily skin, you might need to set it later in the day. There’s also a 10g mini size, so you can try it before buying the full version.

22. [d’Alba Official]Waterfull Purple Tone-up Sunscreen 50ml, Vegan, SPF 50+ PA++++, Sun Block, Purple Tone Up, Gentle and Safe Use
The purple tint in this sunscreen helps balance out yellow undertones for a brighter, more even look. It’s vegan, has truffle-inspired hydration, and offers SPF 50+ PA++++ protection. If you use too much, the purple can look too pale, so apply a thin layer. It’s great for a glowy, corrected finish instead of a matte one.

23. SUZANOBAGIMD Tinted Physical Defense SPF 50 96.3g | Obagi Sunblock | Tinted Sunblock | Mineral Sunsc
This SUZANOBAGIMD tinted physical sunscreen comes in a universal shade that works for many skin tones and helps cover the mineral cast. The large 96.3g size and clinical background explain the higher price. It’s popular for skin that’s healing after a procedure and needs strong protection with some coverage. It’s a splurge, but it lasts a long time for face use.

24. LANBENA Sunscreen Cream Vitamin C Whitening Sunscreen Sunblock Skin Mineral Sunscreen SPF50 Facial Sunscreen Waterproof Sun Stick
LANBENA is the budget option, and the listing uses every keyword possible: cream, sunblock, stick, whitening, mineral, SPF50. I couldn’t confirm which mineral filters it actually uses or in what form, so I’d be cautious about the mineral claim until you see the ingredient list. If you want to try something cheap, it’s okay, but check the active ingredients before relying on it for real sun protection. For serious use, I’d trust the other brands listed above first.

For babies, kids, and maternity

Gentle formulas with lower SPF are common for this group, but there are also some reef-safe, higher SPF options for the beach. All the mineral sunscreens here are mild.

25. Mama’s Choice Baby Gentle Mineral Sunscreen | SPF30 PA++ | Hypoallergenic & Moisturizing
This mineral sunscreen is made for babies, so it’s hypoallergenic, moisturizing, and gentle enough for young children. SPF 30 with a mild PA rating is good for stroller walks and playing in the shade, but not for long hours at the beach. The moisturizing formula helps keep delicate skin from drying out. Reapply often, since kids tend to rub or sweat it off quickly.

26. Buds and Blooms Sun Days Maternity Safe Mineral Sunscreen with SPF 30 (50g) | Safe for Breastfeeding
This sunscreen is made for pregnant and breastfeeding people, using only mineral filters to avoid chemicals some want to skip during this time. SPF 30 in a 50g tube is enough for daily errands. It’s a good choice if you want a simple, safe ingredient list. It’s not meant for heavy sun exposure at the beach, so plan for that.

27. 1pc. Orange and Peach Mineral Sunblock for Babies and Kids SPF50++ UVA UVB Reef Safe (No White Cast)
Orange and Peach is a local kids’ brand, and this sunblock claims SPF50, reef-safe filters, and no white cast, which is impressive for a baby formula. The higher SPF makes it better for the beach than SPF 30 options. Reef-safe ingredients are great for island trips. Always do a patch test first with young children.

28. Nature to Nurture Kids Fun Under the Sun Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 | Gentle, UVA/UVB Protection
This gentle mineral sunscreen for kids has SPF 50 and broad-spectrum coverage, perfect for active children. It’s designed to be easy for parents to apply before playground time. The mineral filters are gentle on young skin. It’s a reliable choice for daily use, school runs, and weekend play.

29. Beach Hut Sunblock Babies & Kids SPF50 Mineral Sunscreen Body Lotion 100mL
Beach Hut is a familiar local beach brand, and this is their mineral body lotion for babies and kids. The 100ml size is meant for generous use on arms, legs, and backs. SPF50 is enough for a full day at the beach. This one is for the body, so use a different sunscreen for your face.

30. BANANA BOAT Baby Sensitive Mineral Based Sunscreen Lotion SPF50+ 90ml
Banana Boat’s baby sunscreen is mineral-based, tear-free, and gentle for sensitive young skin, and comes in a large 90ml tube. SPF50+ makes it suitable for the whole family at the beach. The well-known brand can reassure first-time parents. Keep in mind that ‘mineral-based’ might mean it’s a hybrid, not pure mineral, so check the label if that’s important to you.

For face and body, high SPF, and reef days

These sunscreens come in big bottles, have sheer finishes, and use reef-safe formulas for long days outdoors. These are the mineral sunscreens I’d recommend packing for a trip.

31. LUXE ORGANIX 6in1 MAXShield 100% Mineral Ultra Sheer Face & Body Sunscreen SPF120 100ml
The MAXShield comes in a large 100ml bottle and works for both face and body. This is the 100 percent mineral version for those who want no chemical filters. The SPF120 label sounds impressive, but protection doesn’t increase much after SPF 50, so take that number with a grain of salt. Pure mineral formulas like this may leave a bit more white cast than hybrids. The most important thing is to apply enough and reapply often, which matters more than the SPF number.

32. MAGWAI Reef Safe Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50+ 80g | 75% Less White Cast
Magwai is a proudly Filipino reef safe brand, tested by the UP Marine Science Institute, and the 80g is the full size for actual beach days when a small tube would vanish by lunch. Non nano zinc oxide does the work with a sheer finish that fades most of the white cast, at better value per gram than the travel one. It also comes in a 30g travel size for reapplication on the go. One caveat: the formula carries fragrance, so very reactive skin should patch test.

How to pick a mineral sunscreen for your skin type

Focus on your skin type first, not just the SPF number. Oily and combination skin usually does best with matte or serum textures that include silica or a blurring effect. Dry or sensitive skin benefits from richer, calming formulas with soothing plant ingredients and a gentle, non-drying feel. If your skin is reactive or easily irritated, look for short ingredient lists and fragrance-free options.

If you’re prone to breakouts, look for sunscreens labeled noncomedogenic and, if possible, fungal acne safe, since the wrong ingredients can cause more pimples than the sunscreen prevents. For babies and kids, gentle formulas with lower SPF are common, but there are reef-safe, higher SPF options for beach days.

Don’t get too caught up in high SPF numbers. Protection increases quickly up to SPF 30, goes up a bit more to SPF 50, and doesn’t improve much after that. An SPF120 label is mostly marketing. What really matters is applying enough sunscreen—about two fingers’ worth for your face—and reapplying every couple of hours when you’re outside.

If your skin runs combination to oily, leans sensitive, and breaks out, and you want to skip aloe entirely, the Ellana Clean Screen is the easiest one to start with: oil control, calming centella and chamomile, fungal acne safe, and no aloe on the list. Fair warning that it slips a chemical filter in beside the minerals, so anyone who wants zero chemical filters should look at the Camou Tinted Mattifying Mineral Sunscreen instead, which stays fully mineral with a matte tint.

TL;DR: Thirty two mineral sunscreen options, sorted so you can skip to your skin type. Oily and combination skin should look at the matte and serum textures like Camou and Ellana; sensitive and reactive skin at the calming, fragrance free formulas; parents at the gentle baby and kids lines; and beachgoers at the reef safe Magwai bottles and the big body sizes. Ignore the SPF120 theatrics, apply more than feels reasonable, and reapply. If your skin is oily, sensitive, and breakout prone with a firm no aloe rule, the Ellana Clean Screen is where I would start you.
